As both a landlord and homeowner, Courtney Patrick is more than familiar with all the complex regulations that come with residential and commercial real estate matters. Her innate attention to detail translate well in additional areas of law such as aiding clients form new business entities as well as drafting and reviewing various contracts. Furthermore, Courtney helps clients protect their intellectual property through trademarks and copyrights. By considering every detail of her cases carefully, Courtney is the attorney you can rely on to resolve your legal matters in a timely manner.

Courtney L. Patrick focuses her practice primarily on real estate, general business matters, trademarks, copyrights, and probate and estate planning. As both a homeowner and landlord, Courtney especially enjoys all things real estate, including helping first time home buyers and investors with rental property matters. She also likes helping businesses and startups form entities and draft and review various contracts. In assisting businesses, Courtney guides clients in protecting their intellectual property, including registering trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and registering copyrights with the U.S. Copyright Office.

Active in the community, Courtney currently serves as Co-Chair of the Women in Business Committee of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Courtney is actively involved with the Greater Augusta Association of Realtors Young Professionals Network. Previously, Courtney has served as an Executive Board Member of the Augusta Chapter of the University of Georgia Alumni Association and as a Co-City Chair of the Legal Food Frenzy in Augusta.

In June 2014, Courtney was selected as one of the Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals in the Augusta area. This award is given to individuals between the ages of 25 and 35 who are expected to have a transforming influence on the future of economic roles and lifestyles in the CSRA.

Born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, Courtney returned to her home city upon graduating cum laude from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School in 2012. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics in 2009. While in law school, Courtney was accepted into the ranked Advanced Writing Program and obtained a certificate in Advanced Legal Writing, Research, and Drafting. She made Dean’s List and received the CALI Award in Academic Excellence in her Advanced Legal Research and Domestic Relations courses. Upon graduation, Courtney was selected for membership into the Brainerd Currie Honor Society for her academic achievements and distinguished contributions to the law school. She also received a certificate of achievement for her participation in the Law and Public Service Program for her exceptional commitment to public service throughout law school.
